About This Webinar

Clinical Decision-Making in the Atrophic Anterior Maxilla

A case-based discussion between Dr Rashi Gupta and Dr Sormani Queiroz on implant placement when a large nasopalatine (incisive) canal compromises the ideal implant position. Using an AOX case, we discuss CBCT assessment, prosthetically driven implant positioning, when the canal can simply be avoided and when it may need to be managed. The session focuses on clinical decision-making, risk management and potential neurosensory complications.

Who This Webinar Is For

This webinar is for dentists who place or plan implants in the anterior maxilla, and for clinicians who want a clearer framework for managing anatomical limitations. Join dentists from Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the Middle East.

What We'll Discuss

Key Discussion Points

  • CBCT assessment: when is the nasopalatine canal genuinely interfering with ideal implant placement?
  • Avoid, reposition or obliterate? Choosing the appropriate strategy
  • Management of canal contents: preservation versus removal and grafting
  • Immediate vs staged implant placement: primary stability, available native bone and graft requirements
  • AOX application and complications: implant distribution, immediate loading considerations and the risk of altered anterior palatal sensation
Also Covered

  • Prosthetically driven implant positioning in the atrophic anterior maxilla
  • When the canal can simply be avoided, and when management may be considered
  • Preserving or repositioning the neurovascular bundle versus canal obliteration and grafting
  • Simultaneous versus staged implant placement
  • Clinical decision-making, risk management and potential neurosensory complications

This is not a conventional lecture. Two clinicians discuss one real case, and registered participants receive the replay.
